The `Apapane Lodge features 3 bedrooms (one king, one queen, plus bunk room with four singles), 2 baths, plus a queen bed in the living room.
Sleeps 2 romantically, 4 pleasantly, 5-10 comfortably.

Close to the village and national park, yet off the beaten path on a quiet unpaved road, this lovingly custom built split-level home features high vaulted ceilings, a sunken living room with fireplace, and beautiful Hawaiian wood finishing.

You'll awaken to the sound of native `apapane birds in `ohi`a trees and the sight of the gentle arches of hapu`u fern from all windows.

During the day explore Hawaii Volcanoes National Park a close two miles from your door, where you can hike the trails and enjoy the stunning vistas along Kilauea Crater, and visit the lovely Volcano Art Center. In the evening dine out in the village or enjoy a quiet meal in your modern kitchen and dining area.

The dining room ( like every room) overlooks the forest outside. Have a great breakfast and enjoy the sounds of the tropical forest right outside your window. A truly magical place to be.

The dining room is open to the kitchen so you can always be in communication with your family's chef....

The "Koa Wood" Kitchen is very unique.
Koa Wood is a very rare wood only from Hawaii, so it is very special.

The kitchen is fully equipped with gas stove/oven, coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, dishwasher, double sink, full size refrigerator / freezer, and all pots, pans, dishes, utensils you may need.

The Apapane Lodge is named after the red beautiful "Apapane" living in the tree-tops of the Volcano Ohia Forest surrounding the house.

Cancellation Policy

The Master bedroom has a King size bed and a nice little sitting area from both of which you can see the lush green forest surrounding the house

Queen Size bed in 2nd bedroom downstairs. There is also third bed (queen size) in the living room area and a room with four single beds (downstairs).

Add'l Provided:	All Linens ( towels, bedding, etc. ), hair dryer, Dish Detergent, Starter Supply of Paper Towels and toilet paper, family style shampoo & liquid shower soap, firewood and firestarter.

Complimentary:	For stays of 3 nights or more we are happy to provide you with some complimentary breakfast fixings ( Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, bread item, eggs, milk, juice, pancake mix, syrup, butter, jam , fresh fruit) *exact items may vary at manager's discretion and local availability. There are always fresh tropical flowers throughout the house for your enjoyment.

Minimum Stay:	Two Nights Generally we do have a 2 night minimum, but if a single night happens to be open between 2 bookings or you are making a last minute reservation ( within 1 week of arrival), we might accept a one night stay reservation at an additional charge. Single night stay : 1-2 people: + $30, 3-5 people: + $50, 6+ people: + $75. Please inquire.

Cancellations:	No charge if cancelled at least 14 days in advance for 1-3 night stays, and 30 days in advance for 4-7 night stays. If you cancel short notice you will be responsible for the full amount of your reservation, however, we will credit you any days we can rebook to someone else.

Deposit / Payment:	Credit Card to hold reservation, payment due upon arrival. We prefer payment via check, travelers check, or cash, but credit card payment is accepted also ( Visa / MC / AMEX ).
